Bad Boy: Season 1

Season overview

Bad Boy is a 2018 comedy‑mystery television series that follows Scott, a mild‑mannered gay writer living in Los Angeles. The series begins with Scott leading a quiet, boyfriend‑less life focused on his writing until an awkward encounter with a charismatic “bad boy” draws him into the world of that man’s family. The family’s dynamics are marked by simmering sibling rivalries, a mysterious murder, and the involvement of the FBI, creating a backdrop of tension and intrigue. As the brothers begin to refer to him as “Daddy Scott,” he becomes increasingly entangled in their chaotic and often humorous daily affairs. Throughout the first season, Scott discovers that situations rarely unfold as he anticipates and that many characters conceal hidden motives. The narrative combines elements of comedy with mystery, emphasizing the contrast between Scott’s ordinary lifestyle and the unpredictable, flamboyant environment of the “bad boys” he now inhabits. The series presents a blend of familial conflict, criminal investigation, and off‑beat humor, all centered on Scott’s reluctant integration into a world far removed from his original routine.
