Overview
Ashes of Love is a 2018 Chinese television series based on the 2009 novel Heavy Sweetness, Ash-like Frost by Dian Xian. The drama series, which consists of 63 episodes, premiered on Jiangsu TV on August 2, 2018, and concluded its initial broadcast run on September 4, 2018. The story follows Jin Mi, the daughter of a flower deity who is hidden away by her mother. Jin Mi is fed a pill that prevents her from feeling or expressing romantic love. As she matures, she becomes drawn to Xu Feng, the son of the Heavenly Emperor. Her life becomes complicated as she finds herself entangled in a love triangle involving the Heavenly Prince Xu Feng and the ambitious Night Deity Run Yu. The series features Yang Zi as Jin Mi and Deng Lun as Xu Feng in the lead roles. The production was created by Xian Dian and was available to watch on the streaming platform Netflix until December 2023.
