Overview
Anne Shirley is a Japanese anime television series that premiered in 2025. The story follows Anne Shirley, an imaginative eleven-year-old orphan who is mistakenly sent to live at Green Gables with elderly siblings Mathew and Marilla Cuthbert. Although the siblings originally intended to adopt a boy to assist with their fields, the redheaded girl remains with them. Her abundant imagination, cheer, and earnest heart begin to change the people around her. The series was scheduled to premiere on NHK Educational TV on April 5, 2025.
