Overview

Medalist is a Japanese sports anime series that premiered in 2025, adapted from the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Tsurumaikada. The series follows Tsukasa Akeuraji, a frustrated skater who once aspired to compete but never achieved his goals, as he meets Inori Yuitsuka, a girl with a strong desire to become a figure skater. Motivated by her dedication and raw potential, Tsukasa takes on the role of her coach. As Inori's talent develops under his guidance, Tsukasa evolves into a skilled mentor, and together they work toward the goal of making Inori a successful competitive skater. The anime was produced by ENGI and directed by Yasutaka Yamamoto. It aired on the NUMAnimation programming block and was made available for streaming on platforms such as Disney+ globally and Hulu in the United States. The original manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon since May 2020.
