Overview

Amaim Warrior at the Borderline is an original Japanese anime television series animated by Sunrise Beyond that aired from 2021 to 2022. The story is set in 2061, a time when the world has been consolidated under the rule of four trade blocs. Japan is under a state of occupation by multiple states, with the entire archipelago serving as a frontline of conflict. The Japanese people live under constant oppression, and humanoid war machines known as AMAIM patrol the streets. The narrative follows an introverted young boy named Amo Shiiba, who has a chance meeting with an autonomous AI named Gai. Through this encounter, he acquires an AMAIM called Kenbu and begins an attempt to take back Japan. The series also features Gashin Tezuka, a reticent and frank 16-year-old member. In addition to the television series, a photonovel titled Kyokai Senki: Frost Flower has been serialized in the magazine Monthly Hobby Japan since July 2021. The show is classified under the animation and science fiction and fantasy genres.
