Alles was zählt is a German television soap opera that premiered on the RTL network on September 4, 2006. Produced by UFA Serial Drama, the program is set in the city of Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, where the narrative centers on the Steinkamp Sport and Wellness Center. This facility serves as the primary location for the personal and professional lives of the characters. The original plot focused on the ambitions of Diana Sommer, who pursued a career as a world-class ice skater. She was signed to the center by Julian Herzog, a man with whom she developed a romantic relationship. The center is managed by the Steinkamp family. Diana and Julian eventually became a couple, but their story concluded when Julian died of a brain hemorrhage during their wedding in November 2007. Diana remained in Essen until January 2009, at which point she departed to join a skating center in Halle. The series, which features a runtime of approximately 25 minutes, continues to air on weekday evenings.
