Created by Fernando Gaitán, the series is an adaptation of the American medical drama Grey's Anatomy, which was originally created by Shonda Rhimes. The production was a collaboration between Vista Producciones and Disney Media Distribution. The narrative follows María Alejandra Rivas Cavalier, a young aspiring surgeon who bears a prestigious family name. She joins the highly regarded internship program at Santa María University Hospital, which becomes her new home.
