Overview
A Biltmore Christmas is a 2023 American holiday romance television movie that premiered on November 26, 2023, as part of the Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas lineup. Directed by John Putch and written by Marcy Holland, the film features actors Bethany Joy Lenz, Kristoffer Polaha, and Jonathan Frakes. The story follows contemporary screenwriter Lucy Hardgrove, who is hired to write a remake of the holiday classic film His Merry Wife!, which was originally shot at the historic Biltmore Estate. While touring the estate grounds, Lucy accidentally knocks over an hourglass. This event transports her back in time to 1946, placing her directly on the set of the original production of His Merry Wife!. As she experiences the 1940s environment, she becomes close to the film’s leading man. Her presence in the past sets off a chain of events that puts the entire production of the classic movie in jeopardy.
