Yoji Matsuda is a Japanese actor and voice actor born in Tokyo, Japan, on October 19, 1967. He was born in Setagaya, Tokyo, and has an older brother named Naoyuki Matsuda, who is a musical translator and professor at Komazawa University. After studying at Aoyama Gakuin High School, Yoji Matsuda attended Aoyama Gakuin University, where he studied in the Faculty of Letters and the Department of Education before dropping out. During his education, one of his classmates from high school through university was Renhō, a member of the Diet and the House of Councilors.

He joined the Himawari Theatre Group at the age of five and made his child acting debut in the 1974 television drama Mother's Suzu. He later gained wider attention as an actor in the 1983 TBS television drama Family Game. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated thirty-four known credits on The Movie Database, working in both acting and voice acting capacities. Among the notable works associated with his career are Princezna Mononoke, Kôkaku kidôtai: Stand Alone Complex, and Naušika z Větrného údolí.
