Born Allan Stewart Konigsberg on November 30, 1935, in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. Allen is known for directing numerous films, with a body of work that spans various genres including dramas and comedies. He draws inspiration from literature, philosophy, psychology, Jewish identity, and the history of cinema, among other fields. Allen is also a musician and has developed a passion for jazz.
