William Emerson Arnett was born on May 4, 1970, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is a Canadian and American actor and comedian known for his work in television. Arnett has received seven Primetime Emmy Award nominations and three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. He is widely recognized for playing Gob Bluth in the Fox and Netflix sitcom Arrested Development, which aired from 2003 to 2006, 2013, and 2018 to 2019, and as the titular character in the Netflix animated series BoJack Horseman from 2014 to 2020.
