Walter Jack Gotell, also known as Walter Jacques Goettel, was a German-British actor born in Bonn, Germany, on March 15, 1924. His family emigrated to the United Kingdom after the Nazis came to power. Gotell was widely known for portraying General Gogol, the head of the KGB, in the James Bond film series.
