Vittorio Caprioli was an Italian film actor, film director, and screenwriter who was born in Naples, Italy, on August 15, 1921, and died there on October 2, 1989, at the age of 68. He graduated from the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico in Rome and made his stage debut in 1942 in the Carli-Racca company. Beginning in 1945, he collaborated with the Italian public broadcaster RAI, frequently working with Luciano Salce on magazine and variety programs. In 1948, he arrived at the Piccolo theatre in Milan, where he performed in William Shakespeare's work under the direction of Giorgio Strehler. Throughout his career, he amassed 108 known acting credits and appeared in films primarily in French productions between 1946 and 1990.
