Biography

Victoria Principal is an American actress, producer, entrepreneur, and author born on January 3, 1950. She is best known for portraying the character Pamela Barnes Ewing on the primetime soap opera Dallas. Principal made her acting debut in the 1972 film The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, appearing opposite Paul Newman. This role earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. Following several disappointing film experiences, she left acting between 1975 and 1977 to work as a Hollywood talent and booking agent. She subsequently intended to attend law school, planning to support herself through minor television roles rather than feature film work.
