Biography
Vica Kerekes, born Éva Kerekes on March 28, 1981, is a Slovakian actress who maintains an active career in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. She is also credited as Vica Kerekésová, Vica Kerekešová, and Kerekes Vica. Born to an ethnic Hungarian mother and a father of Hungarian and Slovak descent, she studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 2001, she relocated to Budapest, where she met her husband, the artist Csaba Vigh. Kerekes made her cinematic debut in the 2004 Slovak film Konečná stanica. She is recognized by international audiences primarily for her performance in the 2011 film Men in Hope.
