Tetsuro Araki is a Japanese anime director. He is a graduate of Senshu University and has worked with various animation studios including Madhouse, Production I.G, and Wit Studio. Araki's directorial debut was the original video animation Otogi-Jūshi Akazukin in 2005. He is known for directing several anime adaptations, including Death Note, Highschool of the Dead, and Attack on Titan. Araki has also directed original anime series such as Guilty Crown and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, as well as the original anime film Bubble. He is married to editor Aya Hida. Araki was born on November 5, 1976, in Sayama, Saitama, Japan.
