Biography
Tang Wei is a Chinese actress born on 7 October 1979. She rose to international fame for her role in Lust, Caution, which won the Golden Lion award. Tang Wei was banned by the Chinese government due to the explicit sexual nature of her performance. She made a comeback in Crossing Hennessy in 2010. Tang Wei gained further acclaim for her performances in Late Autumn, Finding Mr. Right, The Golden Era, Long Day's Journey into Night, and Decision to Leave. She is the first and only non-Korean to be honored as the Best Actress at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
