Taiji Tonoyama
Biography
Taiji Tonoyama was a Japanese character actor. He was born on October 17, 1915, in Kobe, Japan. Tonoyama made many appearances in films and on television from 1939 to 1989. He was a regular cast member in films directed by Kaneto Shindo. Tonoyama also helped form the film company Kindai Eiga Kyokai in 1950 with Shindo and Kōzaburō Yoshimura. He was an essayist and had a long career in the film industry. Tonoyama passed away on April 30, 1989, at the age of 73. He is known for his acting work, with over 315 credits in the film and television industry.
