Stephen Boyd was a Northern Irish/American stage and screen actor. He joined the Ulster Group Theatre as a teenager and learned the tasks of the theatre. In 1956, he toured North America performing in the lead role of Stanley Kowalski in a production of "A Streetcar Named Desire".
