Shu Qi, born Lin Li-hui on April 16, 1976, is a prominent Taiwanese actress, film director, and fashion model. Born in Xindian District, Taipei, Taiwan, she is also known by the stage names Shu Kei and Hsu Chi. With a career spanning over two decades, she is recognized as one of the most successful actresses in the Chinese-speaking world, noted for her versatility and screen presence. She has accumulated 119 known credits in the film and television industry. Her professional identity is defined by her work as an actress, and she maintains a significant presence in international cinema as a performer of Taiwanese and Hong Kong origin.
