Biography
Sam Liu is an American animation director and storyboard artist known for directing animated superhero films at Marvel Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, including All-Star Superman, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Hulk Vs, Planet Hulk, and Thor: Son of Asgard. He also co-directed Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and Batman: Year One with Lauren Montgomery. After studying as an illustration major at the Art Center College of Design, Liu drew comic books for Image Comics before transitioning to animation. He directed on Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles and Godzilla: The Series for Sony Animation, and later worked at Sony Computer Entertainment of America. In television, he directed Green Lantern: The Animated Series with Bruce Timm and Beware the Batman with Glen Murakami.
