Ryan Pope is an actor born in Manchester in 1973. Upon leaving acting school, his first break was promoting the Quadrophenia comeback tour for the rock band The Who, where he dressed as a mod and rode a Lambretta. Following this, he worked as a catwalk model for the Prada fashion house and secured a role in the BBC series The Lakes. He is perhaps best known for playing Psycho Paul in all seven series of the cult BBC3 sitcom Ideal. His stage credits include performances with the Royal Shakespeare Company in North America and the Far East. On film, he has starred in Ben Wheatley's A Field In England, Ken Loach's Looking For Eric, and Mike Leigh's Peterloo.
