Rudolph Bond, also known as Rudy Bond, was an American actor born on October 10, 1912, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was active in the entertainment industry from 1947 until his death on March 29, 1982. His professional work included roles in Hollywood films, United States television, and Broadway. Bond began acting at age 16 after being recruited by Julie Sutton for the Neighborhood Players, a city amateur acting group. He later served four years in the United States Army during World War II, where he was wounded. Following the war, he was invited by Elia Kazan to be a student at the Actors Studio.
