Roseanne Park, known mononymously as Rosé and by her Korean stage name 로제, is a New Zealand and South Korean singer, dancer, and actress born on February 11, 1997, in Auckland, New Zealand. Raised in Australia, she signed with the South Korean label YG Entertainment following an audition in 2012 and trained for four years before debuting as a member of the girl group Blackpink in August 2016. In March 2021, Rosé made her solo debut with her single album titled R. The lead single from the album, On the Ground, achieved commercial success, peaking in the top five domestically and becoming the highest-charting song by a Korean female soloist on the US Billboard Hot 100, the ARIA Singles Chart, and the UK Singles Chart.
