Ravshana Bahramovna Kurkova, also known as Ravshana Matchanova, is an Uzbek-Russian actress of theater, film, and dubbing, as well as a producer. She was born on August 22, 1980, in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, USSR, which is now Uzbekistan, into an Uzbek acting family. She starred in the 1992 arthouse philosophical drama Kirk Kulok Siri, directed by Rashid Malikov and filmed at the Uzbekfilm studio. In the eighth grade, her parents transferred her to a Tashkent lyceum that was a branch of the University of London and taught all subjects in English. In the late 1990s, she moved to Moscow and entered the philological faculty. Since 2003, she has appeared in more than thirty films, with her known credits totaling sixty-six. Her film work includes roles in Hardcore Henry, Pokuseni svateho Tonika, and Balkanska hranice.
