Oksana Akinshina is a Russian actress born in Leningrad, Russian SFSR, USSR. She was discovered by Sergei Bodrov, Jr. and made her screen début in the Russian crime film Sisters. Akinshina's second film was Lilya 4-Ever, which earned her a 2002 European Film Award nomination for Best Actress. She received the award for Best Actress in Leading Role from the Guldbag for her role in Lilya 4-Ever. Akinshina has a younger sister and currently resides in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
