Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu is a French actress born on April 25, 1963, in Boulogne-Billancourt, Paris, France. She is the daughter of French actor Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu. After spending her childhood in Italy, she moved to Paris at age 16 to study drama, going against the advice of her parents, particularly her father, who tried unsuccessfully to keep her from following in his footsteps. Following appearances on the stage, she made her screen debut in Roger Vadim's 1983 film Surprise Party. In 1985, she played her first major screen role as the distraught mother in Trois hommes et un couffin, also known as Three Men And A Cradle, which earned her a nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actress.
