Biography

Dame Penelope Keith was an English actress and presenter active in film, radio, stage, and television. She was primarily known for her roles in the British sitcoms The Good Life and To the Manor Born. Keith was educated at a convent school and later attended drama school before working in repertory theatre. She worked in repertory in Manchester and Chesterfield in Derbyshire. Keith earned a Bafta in 1977 for her work on To the Manor Born. She died at the age of 86.
