Biography
Ornella Muti is an Italian actress born Francesca Romana Rivelli on March 9, 1955, in Rome. Born to a Neapolitan father and an Estonian mother, she has an older sister named Claudia. Muti began her career as a teenage model before making her film debut in 1970 with La moglie più bella, also known as The Most Beautiful Wife. She has worked primarily in Italian cinema but gained international recognition for her role as Princess Aura in the 1980 British film Flash Gordon. Her American film credits include Oscar in 1991 and Once Upon a Crime in 1992. Additionally, she is known to French audiences for her appearance in a television commercial for Giovanni Panzani pasta.
