She has blood type A and is affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, also known as Haikyou. After graduating from college, she worked as an office lady and a shrine maid while participating in a workshop held at Animation Kobe. During the workshop, anime director Akitaro Daichi noticed her voice in a performance and invited her to audition for his television anime project titled We Were There. She successfully secured the role of the heroine, Nanami Takahashi. She is not to be confused with another voice actress who shares the same name written with different kanji.
