Biography
Nam Yin (Chinese: 南燕, born June 11, 1953), originally named Lam Ling-Nam, is a Hong Kong film screenwriter, director, producer, lyricist, and actor. His first credited screenplay was Prison on Fire, co-written with his brother Ringo Lam Ling-Tung. He went on to write and produce notable films including Women Prison (1988), School on Fire (1988), Wild Search (1989), Triads - The Inside Story (1989), Fatal Vacation (1990), Dragon in Jail (1990), and High Risk (1992).
In 1997, he produced the supernatural horror film Troublesome Night, which later expanded into a 19-film series. Nam Yin also wrote and directed the seventh installment of the series.
