Mimie Mathy was born Michèle Mathy on July 8, 1957, in Lyon, Rhône, France. She is a French actress, comedian, and singer who stands 4 ft 4 in tall and has achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism. Interested in the theatre from childhood, she studied the dramatic arts from 1979 to 1981 at Michel Fugain's workshop in Nice. In the early 1980s, she performed in various theatre roles and appeared on the television show Le Petit Théâtre de Bouvard. From 1988 to 1993, she formed a touring comedy troupe called Le Trio des Filles, which performed shows such as Existe en trois tailles. She is best known for her starring role in the television series Josephine, Guardian Angel.
