Biography

Mickey Curtis is a Japanese actor, singer, and television celebrity born on July 23, 1938. His birth name is Brian Kachisu, and he was born to a Japanese father and a Canadian mother. Curtis began his entertainment career as an actor in 1958 before transitioning into rockabilly music. In 1967, he achieved international recognition as a member of the avant-garde rock band Mickey Curtis and the Samurai. After five years, he disbanded the group and returned to Japan in 1972 to focus on music production. Beyond his performance work, Curtis is a polyglot who speaks Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, and Thai fluently.
