Michiyo Yasuda, also known as Michiyo Okusu, Michiyo Ohkusu, and Michiyo Ôkusu, is a Chinese-born Japanese actress. Born in Tianjin, China on February 27, 1946, she began her career as a film ingenue using the stage name Michiyo Yasuda. Under this name, she achieved major early successes with films such as A Fool's Love, along with numerous love stories and samurai period piece dramas. Her career includes sixty-seven known credits in acting. She has received four nominations for Japanese Academy Awards and won the prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in 1981 for her performance in Zigeunerweisen.
