He is known for playing the self-absorbed musician Super Hans in the Bafta-winning British sitcom Peep Show. As a writer, he created the BBC sitcom Whites and starred in his own self-penned Channel 4 sketch show Dogface. His television credits include the Bafta-nominated comedy series Star Stories, where he portrayed characters such as Elton John and Terry Venables, as well as the cult comedy series Look Around You. He also starred as Henry Mallet in the Australian television series Spirited. As a stand-up comedian, he has performed at the Edinburgh festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
