María Florencia Botto Rota, known professionally as María Botto, is an Argentinean-Spanish actress born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on February 10, 1974. In 1978, she moved to Spain with her mother, Cristina Rota, and her brother, Juan Diego Botto, both of whom are also actors. She made her feature film debut at the age of ten in Los motivos de Berta. Her subsequent film credits include portraying Lala Cruz in the 2009 film My Life in Ruins. On television, she has taken on recurring roles such as Sophia Moreno on the series Mad Dogs in 2015, and Ava Pereira on the TNT drama series Good Behavior, playing the sister of Javier, a character portrayed in the series by her real-life brother.
