Makiko Kuno is a Japanese actress born on February 21, 1967, in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. Her early stage name was Shoko Kuno, which she changed to Makiko Kuno before switching her surname to katakana in 2005. Active as a model since senior high school, she made her acting debut in 1987. In 1986, she participated in the first Pocari Sweat Image Girl Contest, losing in the finals to Chisato Moritaka. From 1988 to 1994, Kuno served as the image girl for JR East kiosks. She released a photograph collection titled Mitsu in 1994 and appeared nude in the original video XX: Utsukushiki Karyudo. In 1998, she played the role of Sunday in the Chunsoft sound novel Machi.
