Her first professional role was as the young Beatrix Potter in the 2006 film Miss Potter, which earned her a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a Feature Film as a Supporting Young Actress. She subsequently played Posy Fossil in the 2007 BBC film Ballet Shoes and Margaret Dashwood in the 2008 BBC serial Sense and Sensibility. Her later film credits include portraying the mysterious model Raphina in Sing Street and the ghost Polly Parsons in I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House, both released in 2016, as well as Countess Helena Andrenyi in the 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.
