Lino Ventura was an Italian-born actor who lived and worked primarily in France. Born in Parma, he was raised in Paris. Ventura made his film debut in the 1954 film Touchez pas au grisbi, playing a gangster. He went on to become one of France's most popular film actors, often working with notable stars. Ventura is known for his portrayal of tough characters in crime dramas, often playing roles on both sides of the law. He appeared in numerous films during his career, which spanned several decades.
