Lee Sun-kyun was a South Korean actor born on March 2, 1975, in Seoul, South Korea, and he died on December 27, 2023. He began his career in musical theatre and spent many years in minor and supporting onscreen roles before playing lead characters in one-act dramas on KBS Drama City and MBC Best Theater. Internationally, he was best known for his role in Bong Joon-ho's Academy Award-winning film Parasite, released in 2019, for which he won an Actor Award along with his castmates. His film work also included roles in Helpless, the romantic comedy All About My Wife, and the crime and black comedy A Hard Day. He received several other awards, including a nomination for an International Emmy Award.
