Kim Stanley, born Patricia Reid on February 11, 1925, was an American actress who was primarily active in television and theatre, while also giving occasional film performances. She began her acting career in theatre and subsequently attended the Actors Studio in New York City, New York. During the 1950s, she was a prolific performer in television. She received the 1952 Theatre World Award for her role in The Chase in 1952, and she starred in the Broadway productions of Picnic in 1953 and Bus Stop in 1955. Stanley was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play for her roles in A Touch of the Poet in 1959 and A Far Country in 1962. She died on August 20, 2001, at the age of seventy-six.
