Kie Kitano
Biography
Kie Kitano (北乃きい, Kitano Kii, born March 15, 1991) is a Japanese Actress, singer, TV host, and former gravure idol.
She entered the entertainment industry in 2005 at the age of 14 by winning the Miss Magazine Grand Prix Award, marking her as the youngest winner in the event's history. She made her acting debut in 2006 with "Yubisaki", directed by Isao Yukisada, "Mother at Fourteen" and NHK drama "Junjo Kirari". She did her first lead role in 2007 with "Happy Dining Table" (also known as Kōfuku na Shokutaku) directed by Takashi Komatsu, in the same year, she starred in the Fuji TV drama "Life", an very successful drama, which helped elevate her reputation as a talented and highly capable young actress, Kitano won the 4th Annual TV Navi Drama Award for Best New Actress and the 54th Television Drama Academy Award for Best Newcomer, since then, she starred in various dramas and movies.
