Katherine Lucy Bridget Burke was born on June 13, 1964, in Camden, London, England, United Kingdom. She is an English actress, comedienne, playwright, and theatre director. Burke is widely known for portraying Perry in the film Kevin and Perry Go Large, and Linda La Hughes in the British sitcom Gimme Gimme Gimme, a show she co-wrote and developed with Jonathan Harvey. Her television work also includes regular appearances on French and Saunders, Absolutely Fabulous, and Harry Enfield and Chums. Starting in 2019, Burke hosted a series of documentaries for Channel 4, which include Kathy Burke's All Woman in 2019, Kathy Burke: Money Talks in 2021, and Kathy Burke: Growing Up in 2023.
