Biography
Jüri Lumiste is an Estonian actor and director born on July 16, 1957, in Tartu. He graduated from Tartu 1st Secondary School in 1975 and studied mathematics at Tartu State University. Lumiste also finished the Hermaküla studio in 1979 and participated in workshops in Russia, Türkiye, Finland, and Denmark. He completed training in Japan and Germany from 1991 to 1992 and was the drama director of the Vanemuine theater from 1993 to 1999. His life partner is Ülle Veermäe and he has children from his current and previous relationships.
