Biography

John Nettles is a British actor who has appeared on television for more than thirty years. His career began with the comedy series The Liver Birds, which premiered in 1969. He later achieved widespread recognition for his portrayal of the Jersey detective Jim Bergerac in the series Bergerac, which debuted in 1981. This role brought him international fame, as the program was broadcast in countries including France, Spain, and Greece. Although production of Bergerac concluded in the early 1990s, the series maintains a dedicated following. Throughout his career, Nettles has been a recognizable figure in both British and international television.
