Biography
James Patrick Caviezel Jr. is an American actor born on September 26, 1968. He is known for his starring role as John Reese on the CBS series Person of Interest from 2011 to 2016. His film roles include Private Witt in The Thin Red Line, Slovnik in G.I. Jane, Detective John Sullivan in Frequency, Catch in Angel Eyes, Edmond Dantès in The Count of Monte Cristo, and Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ. Caviezel began his acting career in Seattle theater and earned his Screen Actors Guild card with a minor role in My Own Private Idaho before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He was offered a scholarship to study acting in New York.
