Ivan Reitman was a Canadian-American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born on October 27, 1946, in Komárno, Czechoslovakia, now the Slovak Republic. Reitman was the owner of The Montecito Picture Company, founded in 1998. He directed notable films such as Meatballs, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, Dave, and Junior. Reitman also served as producer for films including Animal House, Beethoven, Space Jam, and Private Parts. He passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 75.
