Biography
Lee Ji-eun, known professionally as IU, is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress born on May 16, 1993. She debuted as a singer in 2008 with the EP Lost and Found under LOEN Entertainment, now Kakao Entertainment. IU transitioned into acting, making her television debut in 2011 with Dream High. She gained recognition for her roles in The Producers, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, My Mister, and Hotel Del Luna. Her film work includes the 2021 movie Dream. IU has also appeared in the Netflix anthology series Persona. She is represented by EDAM Entertainment.
