Weekly Idol is a South Korean variety show that premiered in 2011 and airs on MBC M and MBC Every1. The show focuses on K-pop idols and features segments such as "Idol of the Week," where idol groups are highlighted. It became known for its unique approach to showcasing the personalities and talents of idols through games, challenges, and performances. In a later development, Cho Sae Ho, Hwang Kwang Hee, and Nam Chang Hee formed a new hosting unit called the CKN Trio, bringing fresh energy to the program. Cho Sae Ho took on the role of an idol expert, while Hwang Kwang Hee returned to the show after completing his military service. The show has become a popular platform for fans to see their favorite idols in a more relaxed and entertaining setting. It originally aired on Wednesdays at 6:20 PM KST on MBC M, with additional late-night airings on MBC Every1.
