Hayes MacArthur was born on April 16, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He completed his high school studies at Deerfield Academy before attending Bowdoin College to pursue a Bachelor’s in Government. Later, he enrolled in the Groundlings Theater Company and the Atlantic Theater Company to pursue his interest in acting.
MacArthur made his feature film debut in Homo Erectus, playing the role of Thudnik. He is most widely known for portraying Jay Geils in the television series Angie Tribeca. His other acting credits include the films A Haunted House 2 and Being Frank, as well as television appearances in Go On, Worst Week, How I Met Your Mother, and Happy Endings.
